Vacancy Details & Education Qualification

• Candidates must have successfully passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board in India.
• Stenography Transcription Time:
  • For English: 40 Minutes
  • For Hindi: 55 Minutes

• Applicants should have completed Intermediate (10+2) from any recognized educational board.
• Typing/Transcription Duration:
  • For English: 50 Minutes
  • For Hindi: 65 Minutes

SSC Stenographer Salary

• Grade C: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + Grade Pay
• Grade D: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200 + Grade Pay

Selection Process

The selection process for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2026 consists of two stages :

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

Subjects include:

• General Intelligence & Reasoning
• General Awareness
• English Language
• Total Questions: 200
• Total Marks: 200
• Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer

2. Skill Test (Stenography)

Candidates who qualify CBT will appear in a skill test:

• Grade C: 100 wpm
• Grade D: 80 wpm

This test is qualifying in nature.
