About the Recruitment
The Sports Authority of India (SAI), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has announced recruitment for the post of Assistant Coach in 26 sports disciplines. The position is a Group ‘B’ entry‑level role in the Cadre of Coaches with promotion prospects up to High Performance Coach as per SAI Recruitment Rules. Selected candidates will be posted at SAI’s Regional Centres, National Centres of Excellence, and Training Centres across India.

Participation in Olympics/Paralympics/Asian Games/World Championship with a Certificate Course in Coaching, or
Dronacharya Awardee, or
Equivalent qualifications from LNIPE, NSU, SGSU, SUOH, IGTAMSU as per Annexure‑I.

Selection Process
Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 multiple‑choice questions, 2 hours, 100 marks (40% weightage). Negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.
Stage 2 – Coaching Ability Test (CAT): Assessment on 40 parameters by a panel of ≥10 assessors (60% weightage).
Final merit = CBT score (40%) + CAT score (60%). Shortlisting for CAT will be done in a 1:3 ratio per vacancy per category.
Upload required documents: age proof, government ID, qualification certificates, caste/EWS certificate (if applicable), and SAI contractual service certificate (if any).
Pay the application fee online via NEFT/RTGS/Net Banking/UPI.
Submit the form and download the registration slip containing your unique registration number and password.
