Selection Process

The selection process for PFRDA Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in three stages — Phase I, Phase II and Interview. Candidates will have to qualify at each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.

Phase I – Online Screening Examination

Phase I will consist of two papers, carrying 100 marks each:

Paper 1: This paper will cover English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness. It will have 90 questions to be completed in 60 minutes and will be common to all streams.
Paper 2: This will be a stream-specific paper consisting of 50 questions, with a duration of 40 minutes.

A negative marking of 1/4 mark will apply for each wrong answer. The marks obtained in Phase I will be used only for shortlisting candidates for Phase II and will not be considered for the final selection.

Phase II – Online Examination

Phase II will also consist of two papers:

Paper 1: A descriptive English paper carrying 100 marks, with 3 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. It will carry 1/3rd weightage in Phase II.
Paper 2: An objective, stream-specific paper carrying 100 marks, consisting of 50 questions with a duration of 40 minutes. This paper will carry 2/3rd weightage.

A negative marking of 1/4 mark will be applicable in Paper 2. Based on their performance in Phase II, candidates will be shortlisted in merit order for the interview. The number of candidates shortlisted will be limited to five times the total number of vacancies.

Phase III – Interview

Candidates who qualify for Phase II and are shortlisted will be called for the Interview. The interview may be conducted in Hindi or English, as per the candidate's choice.

The final selection will be based on the prescribed weightage of the Phase II examination and the Interview, as specified in the official recruitment notification.
