Comprehensive Guide to OFSS Bihar Admission 2026

The Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) is a centralized portal developed by the Bihar School Examination Board to simplify the admission process for Intermediate classes in all colleges and schools across Bihar. For the session 2026-2028, BSEB has implemented a strictly merit-based selection process.

How Merit List is Prepared: The merit list is calculated based on the candidate’s marks in the Class 10th board exam, the category (Reservation rules), and the preference of schools/colleges selected by the student during the application process. If a student is not satisfied with the allotted college in the first list, they can opt for the ‘Slide Up’ process after completing the admission in the currently allotted college.

Slide-Up Process Explained: If you want a better college than the one allotted, you must first take admission in the allotted college. After that, you can log in to the OFSS portal and apply for Slide-Up. If seats are vacant in your higher-priority colleges, your name will appear in the 2nd or 3rd merit list accordingly.

Important Instruction: If a candidate fails to take admission in the college allotted in the first merit list, their name will be removed from the OFSS system, and they will not be eligible for further merit lists or the slide-up process.
