The Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes, Assam, has announced the Assam OBC Scholarship Scheme 2026‑2027. It is a centrally sponsored program that provides financial assistance to students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC) and De‑notified, Nomadic & Semi‑Nomadic Tribes (DNT/S‑NT) for both pre‑matric (Class IX‑X) and post‑matric (higher education) studies.
