National Insurance Company Ltd. (NICL) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 200 Graduate Apprentice Posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time). Eligibility Criteria of NICL Graduate Apprentice 2026

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Graduation (Regular – Full time) in any discipline from a University / Institution recognized by AICTE / DOTE / UGC. The candidates should have appeared for the examination, passed and possess the degree certificate as on 01.04.2026.

Age Limit: The category-wise age limit as on 01st April 2026 is as mentioned below.

Selection Process of NICL Apprentice Posts

Shortlisting Authority: Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) will shortlist candidates based on online applications received through the NATS portal.

Merit Criteria: Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks (up to two decimal places) obtained in the qualifying Graduate Degree Examination, subject to fulfilling all eligibility criteria.

CGPA Conversion: CGPA/OGPA/GPA scores must be converted into percentages using the respective university's formula and mentioned in the online application.

Tie-Breaking: If candidates secure equal marks, the older candidate will be given preference in the merit list.

Communication: Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email IDs only.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear in person for document verification at designated NICL offices. Details will be communicated later.

Disqualification: Any discrepancy between the information submitted online and original documents will result in immediate disqualification.

No Guarantee of Selection: Being called for document verification does not guarantee final selection as an apprentice.

Final Selection: The final engagement list will be prepared after verification of original documents and will depend on vacancy availability in the respective state.

Apprenticeship Contract: Candidates can be engaged only after signing the Apprenticeship Contract with NICL and obtaining its approval through the NATS portal.
