LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026
LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation has released the official notification of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2026. LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme is a scholarship to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker families so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education and thus enhance their employability. The scholarship is available to students pursuing their studies in India at either government or private colleges and universities. It also covers technical and vocational courses offered by Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centres (ITCs) affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Students enrolled in integrated courses after Class 12 are also eligible.
The scholarship is offered under two categories: General Scholarship and Special Scholarship.

About LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation
Life Insurance Corporation of India aka LIC is an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment corporation owned by the Government of India. LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation was established on 20.10.2006 as a part of LIC’s Corporate Social Responsibility. The Foundation has been registered with the Charity Commissioner Mumbai and is also exempt under Section 80G of Income Tax.
The objectives of the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation are promoting education, health, relief of poverty or distress and advancement of other objects of general public utility. The Foundation has supported projects ranging from construction of Hospitals, School buildings and classrooms, library, computer centre, Old age homes, Hostel buildings for children in tribal areas, Vocational training centres for differently abled persons to provide infrastructural facilities to needy persons in different pockets of the country.

Eligibility Criteria
General Scholarship [After Class 12th/Diploma]
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25, or 2025-26.
Current Admission: Applicants must have taken admission in the first year of a course during the 2026-27 academic year.
Eligible Courses: The scholarship covers:
- Medical: MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS
- Engineering: BE, BTech, BArch
- Graduation: Degree courses in any discipline
- Integrated and Diploma Courses
- Vocational Courses
- Courses offered by Government-recognized colleges/institutes and ITIs
- Other equivalent courses
Family Income: The applicant's annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹4.50 lakh.
Special Scholarship [ After Class 10th ]
Academic Qualification: Students must have passed Class 10 (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25, or 2025-26.
Current Admission: Applicants must have taken admission in the first year of their higher studies during the 2026-27 academic year.
Eligible Courses: Students pursuing the following are eligible:
- Intermediate / Class 11 (10+2 pattern)
- Vocational courses
- Diploma courses
- Courses offered by Government-recognized colleges/institutions
- Courses at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs)
Family Income: The applicant's annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹4.50 lakh.
Scholarship Duration: The scholarship will cover the full duration of the course, excluding any internship or period during which the student receives a stipend. The scholarship will continue to be renewed as long as the student meets the required eligibility criteria.
Amount of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship

Selection Process
Division-wise allocation: Applications are automatically sent to one of LIC’s 112 Divisions based on the applicant’s PIN code.
Selection based on merit: Eligible applicants with annual parental income of ₹4.50 lakh or less are ranked strictly on academic merit within their respective Division.
Number of scholarships per Division:
- 20 Girls – 10+2/Diploma level
- 20 Boys – 10+2/Diploma level
- 40 Girls – Graduation level
- 40 Boys – Graduation level
- If there are fewer eligible candidates in one gender category, the vacant slots can be transferred to the other gender category.
Waiting list: Once the available scholarships are filled, a Divisional waiting list will be prepared if more eligible candidates remain.
Central allocation: If some Divisions are unable to fill all their allotted seats, the vacant scholarships may be pooled centrally and reallocated to Divisions having waiting-listed candidates.
Selection confirmation: Selected students will be informed officially through email.
Document verification: LIC Divisional Officials will physically verify the submitted documents, including academic marks and family income details. Documents verified by an LIC Branch In-Charge may also be accepted.
Scholarship payment: After successful verification, the scholarship amount will be credited directly to the student's verified bank account through NEFT.
