About the Recruitment

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi has issued Notification No. 487 dated 26‑03‑2026 for the Jharkhand Shikshak Patrata Pariksha (JTET) 2026. This state‑level Teacher Eligibility Test assesses candidates for the post of Sahayak Aacharya (Assistant Teacher) in government elementary schools (Primary Class 1‑5 and Upper Primary Class 6‑8) across Jharkhand.

  • Graduation (minimum 50%) + B.Ed (enrolled after 29‑07‑2011)
  • Graduation (minimum 45%) + B.Ed (NCTE norms, enrolled before 29‑07‑2011)

  • 12th (minimum 50%) + 4‑Year B.A/B.Sc + B.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed

Exam Pattern

Both levels are OMR‑based MCQ exams with 150 questions, 150 marks, and a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. No negative marking.
