Indian Army TES Recruitment 2026

Indian Army has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 90 vacancy under Technical Entry Scheme 57 Course (TES) commencing in July 2027 for unmarried Male Candidates. Indian Army TES Vacancy Details

Type of entry: Technical Entry Scheme (TES-57) Jul 2027

No of posts: 90 posts

Pre Commission Training Academy: Cadet’s Training Wing (CTW) and Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun

Duration of Training: 4 years

Award of Degree: Engineering Degree

Type of Commission: Permanent Commission

Rank after Training: Lieutenant

Stipend during Training: 56,100/- p.m.

Pay: Level 10 Rs 56,100 - Rs 1,77,500

Eligibility Criteria of Indian Army TES Recruitment

Age Limit: Age of the candidates must be between 16½ to 19½ years as on 01 Jul 2027, i.e., candidates must not be born before 01st Jan 2008 and not after 01st Jan 2011 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification:

Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized education boards are eligible to apply for this entry.

Eligibility condition for calculating PCM percentage of various state /central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.

JEE (Mains): Candidate must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2026 examination.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting of Applications

The Indian Army will shortlist candidates based on their JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (CRL) and other prescribed criteria. Shortlisted candidates must log in to the official website to select their SSB centre and interview date, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Once selected, these cannot normally be changed, although the Army reserves the right to make changes under exceptional circumstances. Candidates must provide their JEE Main 2026 application number for B.E./B.Tech courses.

SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates will attend the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar. Call-up letters will be sent to their registered email addresses and via SMS. The selection process consists of two stages, and candidates who fail Stage I will be sent back on the same day. The SSB interview lasts five days. Candidates recommended after Stage II must undergo a medical examination.

Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination at the nearest Military Hospital. They must be willing to be examined by a medical board comprising male and/or female doctors.

Merit List and Joining

The merit list will be prepared based solely on the marks obtained in the SSB interview. Candidates who are recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will receive joining letters according to merit, subject to vacancy availability and fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.
