About Recruitment

The Institute of Engineering & Rural Technology (IERT), Prayagraj, Asia’s first polytechnic established in 1955, has released the 2026 admission notification. Approved by AICTE and recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Government, IERT offers:

3‑Year Engineering Diploma (13 branches)
2‑Year Management Diploma (3 branches)
1.5‑Year Post Diploma in Computer Application

Admission is based on merit in the entrance examination. Candidates from Uttar Pradesh are given priority; candidates from other states may be considered only if UP seats remain vacant.

Educational Qualification

Engineering Diploma (3 Years)	10th pass with Science & Maths (UP Board/CBSE/ICSE or equivalent). Appearing candidates eligible.
Management Diploma (2 Years)	10+2 pass with Hindi & English. Appearing candidates eligible.
Post Diploma – Computer Application (1.5 Years)	Diploma in any Engineering/Tech branch OR Graduate with Physics & Maths at Intermediate level. Appearing candidates eligible.

Selection Process

Engineering Diploma: Merit in the entrance examination only.
Management Diploma & Post Diploma (Computer Application): Entrance examination score + Interview (additional 100 marks).
