Canara Bank has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 3500 Graduate Apprentice Vacancy under Apprenticeship Act, 1961 for FY 2026-2027. Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment Details
Name of post: Graduate Apprentice
No of posts: 3500 seats
No of posts @ Assam: 42 seats
Period of Apprenticeship Training: The Period of Apprenticeship Training will be One Year.
Stipend: A monthly stipend of Rs. 16,650/- (including subsidy amount, if any, by Govt. of India) shall be paid to the apprentice during the period of apprenticeship.
Age Limit: Age of the candidates must be between 20 to 28 years as on 1st September 2026, i.e., Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1998 and not later than 01.09.2006 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Candidates must have passed their Graduation not earlier than 01.01.2023 and not later than 01.09.2026 (both days inclusive)
Test of local language: Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the local language test.
For other candidates, the test for knowledge of local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted when the candidate is called for Document Verification by the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged as apprentice.
Physical/ Medical fitness: Engagement of selected Apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.

Selection Process
The state-wise merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma. Candidates with higher percentages will be ranked higher. If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.
The minimum required marks are:
60% for general candidates
55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates
Percentages will not be rounded off. For example, 59.99% will not qualify for the 60% requirement.
The merit list will be based entirely on the information provided in the online application. Any discrepancy found during document verification may lead to cancellation of the candidature. Document verification will also include a local language test.
